From Engineer to Full-Time Trader

Gala Trades did not start in the markets. He graduated in 2019 with a degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering, but when Covid lockdowns made engineering jobs hard to find, he worked as a freelance technical translator and saved about 12,000 dollars. That became his starting capital.

He began with stocks and IPOs and made around 30,000 dollars fairly quickly, which pulled him deeper into trading stocks and options. The journey was not smooth. In 2021, while learning options, he lost about 35,000 dollars. It was a painful lesson, but through constant practice, study, and guidance from a mentor, he built an edge and finished 2021 with roughly 164,000 dollars in profit. In 2022 he carefully scaled up his position sizes and made about 460,000 dollars.

In 2023 he discovered the value of journaling and accountability, committed to sharing his results openly, and had his biggest year yet, around 2.1 million dollars in profit across more than 700 trades. After that he focused on quality over quantity: about 500 trades for 2 million dollars in 2024, and around 400 trades for roughly 770,000 dollars in 2025. That year he also started trading futures through prop firms and earned about 100,000 dollars in payouts.
